I am a research scientist with interest in applied statistics and related analytical sciences. In statistics, I have hands on knowledge and practical expertise training (as a lecturer), Research Methods, Sampling techniques, analysis, test of hypotheses, and giving interpretations to results and their implication. I also have computer knowledge related to the above-mentioned tasks.
Currently, I am Dean, School of Graduate Studies and also Professor of Mathematics. Nationally, I serve as the Chairman of Kenya Inter-University Council of Mathematics and Computer Science Institutions.
Prof. Paul Oleche is an associate professor of Pure Mathematics. He is enthuasistic about application of computers in mathematics teaching and research. He teaches pure mathematics courses namely calculus, linear algebra, real analysis, measure theory, complex analysis, topology, abstract algebra. At postgraduate level, he teaches courses in analysis and topology. He also teaches computer science courses namely procedure oriented programming, object oriented programming, systems analysis (software development), Computer networking (data communication), and computer application packages.
Prof. Manyonge holds a PhD. Studied applied mathematics at the University of Nairobi, Kenya and geothermal energy studies at the University of Auckland in New Zealand. He is currently an associate professor in the department of pure and applied mathematics at Maseno University in Kenya.
Born in Kakamega county, I was educated at Ekatsombero primary school, Kakamega high school and attended Egerton University for my bachelor’s studies for which I graduated in 2007. From 2008 t0 2010, I studied for my Master’s at Maseno university for which I worked under Dr. David Starn and Prof. John Ogonji.
David Ambogo is a former student of Awasi Mixed Secondary School(1998-2001), holds a Bachelor of science in Mathematics(2007), a master of science in pure mathematics from Maseno University, Kenya(2010) and a PhD in Mathematics(Relativistic Energy Correction of the Hydrogen Atom with An Anomalous Magnetic Moment) from Osnabrueck University, Germany(2015).
Self-motivated Mathematics PhD who is looking for an opportunity to train mathematics university scholars. Passionate about mathematics education and advanced research which can lead to an increase in evidence-based policy-making in African countries and hopefully generate better outcomes for its citizens.
Donnie Munyao is a Tutorial Fellow in the Department of pure and applied mathematics, Maseno University. He has an Msc in Mathematical science from Stellenbosch university and has completed his PhD in pure mathematics (awaiting graduation). Donnie is responsible for teaching pure mathematics courses to undergraduate students. He began teaching at the university level in 2013.
